The Underwriter is responsible for the specific duties listed below.
Your specific duties will include:
Underwriting loans manually while ensuring compliance with FHA, VA, investor, and FHLMC requirements.
Performing credit qualification reviews for assumptions and related transactions, and clearly communicating underwriting conditions to processors, borrowers, management, and clients.
Supporting processors and management by coordinating conditions, reviewing submitted documentation, ordering title work, and completing underwriting reviews within required timelines.
Required qualifications for the position include:
High School Diploma required.
5+ years of underwriting and processing experience.
Ability to fully review and underwrite loans without the assistance of automated underwriting systems.
Preferred qualifications for the position include:
Experience with FHA, VA, and FHLMC underwriting guidelines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain underwriting conditions.
Pay Rate: $59.28 per hour.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits including medical, dental and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
