The Opportunity

We are a software house launching a digital AI lab for the education market (LMS and digital learning platforms). We have just secured a major greenfield project to build and deliver an end-to-end platform for a key client.

We need an experienced Agile Programme Manager with a solid background in EdTech to lead this delivery from day one.

The Role

You will manage the full lifecycle of this high-profile greenfield project, guiding multiple cross-functional squads to successful delivery while keeping a firm grip on the programme's budget and profitability.

Because of the scale and visibility of this platform, you will regularly manage relationships with senior stakeholders and government bodies. You need to be an excellent communicator who can challenge the naysayers, push back when necessary, and relentlessly clear blockers to keep our squads moving forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Delivery: Guide software squads to successfully build and deliver a brand-new EdTech platform for our client.

  • Commercial & Budget Management: Maintain total visibility over programme affordability, budgeting, and overall profitability.

  • Stakeholder & Government Relations: Manage communication and alignment with senior client executives and government representatives, confidently handling pushback and challenging sceptics.

  • Tracking & ELT Reporting: Use agile tools to track progress and report clear, data-driven KPIs directly to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).

  • Delivery Coordination: Overcome delivery blockers and manage dependencies across squads.

What You Need (Must-Haves)

  • EdTech Industry Experience: A proven track record delivering digital learning platforms or LMS solutions. (This is non-negotiable).

  • Government & Senior Stakeholder Management: Experience working directly with public sector bodies or government departments, with the gravitas to challenge ideas and push back when needed.

  • Financial & Analytical Rigour: Strong experience managing project budgets, ensuring programme affordability, tracking KPIs, and reporting directly to executive teams.

  • Greenfield Project Leadership: Proven experience guiding teams through complex, large-scale software projects from scratch using standard agile tools.

  • Agile Expertise: Deep understanding of iterative development and experience working within a scaled Agile or Spotify framework.

  • Blocker Resolution: A proactive approach to problem-solving and a track record of driving delivery forward despite organizational or technical roadblocks.
