The Supplier Partnerships Manager is a strategic business leader accountable for the strategy, performance, and long-term evolution of external supplier-facing partnerships. This role directly enables payment adoption, straight-through processing (STP), and Network-of-Networks payment initiatives. The ideal candidate will ensure that partner solutions drive incremental payment revenue, elevate the supplier experience, and scale efficiently across the AvidXchange network.

Strategic Partnership Ownership: Serve as the single business owner for assigned external partners, driving partnership strategy, performance outcomes, and long-term value creation.
Relationship & Governance Management: Act as the primary escalation and governance point with partner leadership to ensure productive, results-driven, and mutually beneficial relationships.
Contract & Commercial Management: Partner with Legal, Finance, and Procurement to renegotiate, amend, and optimize existing contracts and commercial terms over time.
Performance Management & Optimization: Define and track KPIs, scorecards, and quarterly business reviews focused on revenue impact, adoption, operational efficiency, and supplier experience.
Financial Planning & Forecasting: Collaborate with Finance to build budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans tied to partner-driven initiatives and revenue streams.
Partner Evaluation & Solutioning: Identify, evaluate, and recommend new partnership opportunities; lead solution design and business case development to determine strategic fit and ROI.
Cross-Functional Decision Enablement: Work across Product, Sales, Supplier Growth, Finance, Legal, Risk, and Technology to establish a clear decision matrix when multiple partners operate in the same functional space.
Service & Solution Design: Partner cross-functionally to ensure external solutions are integrated into AvidXchange workflows in a way that supports automated data and funds transmission, strong customer experience, and scalability.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Professional Experience: 3–7 years of experience in partner management, vendor management, strategy, payments, fintech, or adjacent domains.
Commercial Expertise: Demonstrated experience negotiating and managing complex commercial agreements alongside partnerships tied to revenue generation and/or operational scale.
Core Capabilities: Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM/partner management tools (Salesforce preferred).
Strategic Partnering: Proven ability in strategic partner and stakeholder management, combined with cross-functional influence without direct authority.
Business Acumen: Strong analytical, financial, and business case development skills, alongside contract negotiation and commercial structuring.
Risk & Innovation: High risk and compliance awareness (data, payments, regulatory), paired with process improvement and service design thinking.
Execution: Executive-level written and verbal communication skills, backed by high attention to detail and executional rigor.
Incremental payment revenue driven by partner-enabled initiatives.
Improvement in payment adoption and STP penetration (VCC %).
Improvement in net VCC financial performance (success rate, BIN rate, fees, rebates, limits, etc.).
Supplier experience improvements tied to partner workflows (CSAT, effort reduction, issue resolution).
Time-to-market and scalability of partner-enabled solutions.
Performance of partners against defined SLAs, KPIs, and financial commitments.
