JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Bookkeeper to support our Team Leader in delivering accurate, efficient, and timely bookkeeping services. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining the highest professional standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Supports the TL in the performance of their duties.
● Accurately enters all transactions daily/weekly/monthly into accounting system.
● Uploads supporting evidence for all transactions entered.
● Performs bank reconciliations for all client bank accounts.
● Preparation of payroll for multiple entities on a weekly basis.
● Monitor and ensure compliance with all statutory deadlines and submission of returns for clients by the deadline.
● Reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts with main general ledger account.
● Reconciles general ledger accounts with external records (eg ATO integrated client account, super and payroll tax).
● Able to competently prepare a fully reconciled Trial Balance.
● Promptly informs the Team Leader of any issues with accounts.
● Maintains and builds a supportive and effective team culture.
● Upholds and promotes the firm’s values.
● Maintains the highest ethical and professional standards.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
● Basic Skills with XERO, MYOB, QuickBooks or equivalent;
● Intermediate Word and Excel skills.
● Excellent oral and written communication skills.
● Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
● Intermediate MS Excel and MS Word Certification.
● Familiarity with the Australian Taxation Office portal.
● Well-honed bookkeeping skills with above average communication skills.
● At least 3+ years’ experience in Bookkeeping or Accounting.
