Would you like to join a hands-on, innovative team designing and building advanced radar, naval, and aircraft self-protection systems from prototypes to production? Then you should apply now.
We are facing an exciting future with considerable growth and demanding changes, as we deliver advanced technologies and mission critical solutions for the defense and aerospace industry. Our systems provide security for people on land, at sea and in the air. In space, we are engaged in reaching new frontiers and enabling people on our planet to deal with new and upcoming challenges. Therefore, we are looking for two Mechatronics Engineers to become part of this journey and contribute to our overall purpose – securing people through advanced technology.
Your role in our team
As a Mechatronics Engineer, you will contribute to development projects from Radar Systems, Naval Solutions, and Self-Protection Systems. Your work will involve close collaboration with Electrical, Mechanical, and System Engineers on schematics, drawings, and harness/test equipment design, as well as building prototypes, racks, cables, and test equipment.
The Mechatronics Department also functions as a “go-to” team for problem-solving, and we expect you to work in a structured and service-minded way. Our team currently consists of 11 engineers who support projects across most of Terma’s domains. We are part of Terma's Radar and Security organization, a center of excellence for all hardware development.
How you will make a meaningful contribution
Your key responsibilities include:
-
- Designing and building assemblies, test boxes, cables, and harness
- Writing technical documentation, schematics, drawings, test procedures, and block diagrams
- Assisting Technical Product Managers with change management of existing products
- Supporting the overall design of units or systems, including harnesses and cabling, and enabling our production facility to manufacture these designs
Bring your world class expertise into play
You are fluent in English both in writing and verbal at a professional level. Danish is an advantage but not a requirement. Moreover, we are also looking for a new colleague who has:
-
- An educational background as Electronics Engineer, experienced Electronics Technician or similar
- Experience with Harness design, schematic, 3D routing, wire lists and drawings - experience with Siemens Capital is preferred
- Experience with ERP Systems - We are using IFS, but similar is also relevant
- Experience with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint
As a person, you are service-minded and a practical hands-on Engineer/Technician with a flair for design and documentation. You work independently, driving tasks from start to finish with attention to detail. You possess strong problem-solving skills, communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and navigate in a fast-paced environment, where multitasking will occur. You have a flair for IT and documentation, ensuring design traceability, and collaborate effectively with colleagues, project managers, and occasionally customers.
