Job description

ROLE OVERVIEW:
  • Total Rewards team is looking for a Benefits Analyst to assist with the administration of US benefits program offerings.
  • In this role, you will help support the day-to-day responsibilities of administering our health and welfare benefits, including providing direct support to our employee population with all benefits related questions, enrollments, and escalations.
  • The ideal candidate is empathetic, enthusiastic, and able to critically review and find solutions to complex problems providing leadership in achieving ongoing quality, productivity, and efficiency in the benefits area while managing team members within benefits and the day-to-day operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in managing the administration of group benefit plans including but not limited to, medical, prescription, dental, vision, life insurances, and disability
  • Document and maintain procedures for benefit processes to provide a more streamlined and productive process
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in handling all responsibilities related to group insurance coverage and wellness program. Exercise discretion and independent judgment, when necessary
  • Function as a liaison between benefits/insurance vendors and employees/partners for our benefit programs including ensuring benefit enrollments for New Hires, Life Event changes, HSA contribution changes, and Status Changes are captured and implemented in a timely manner
  • Perform benefits data, benefits plan, and 401(k) auditing (e.g.: enrollment, eligibility, premium contributions, etc.) on a monthly basis for compliance with Plan document
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding escalations questions
  • Support data-related requests from HR team members, manager, employees, and external vendors.
  • Interact with employees to answer questions, escalated concerns, and any Open Enrollment questions with a high degree of confidentiality, empathy, and customer service
  • Expand and improve benefits employee reference materials including knowledgebase articles, sites, guides, and targeted communications
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2-3 years of experience in a Benefits role
  • Must have strong technical skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and internet proficiency
  • Proficient in employee benefits and applicable laws and regulations including but not limited to ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, and defined contribution plan knowledge
  • Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, responsive, and self-motivated
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United State.
MUST HAVE:
  • Experience: Minimum 2+ years in a benefits administration role.
  • Industry Exposure: Prior experience in a large company (5,000+ employees) is strongly preferred.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
  • Strong Excel skills for data auditing and analysis.
  • Proficiency in employee benefits systems and HRIS platforms.
  • Knowledge of benefits compliance regulations (ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA).
PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY:
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively research and solve benefits-related issues independently.
  • Able to escalate only when necessary.
NICE TO HAVE:
  • Consulting Background: Experience working in benefits consulting or a similar advisory role.
  • Vendor Management Experience: Prior experience liaising with benefits vendors and third-party administrators.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to clearly explain benefits programs and create employee resources such as FAQs or guides.
  • Experience with Open Enrollment Processes: Familiarity with annual benefits enrollment cycles and employee communication strategies.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
  • Location: Must be in the Eastern or Central time zones (preferred due to manager's location).
  • Remote Role: Fully remote, but candidates in Eastern or Central time zones are preferred.
