Roles & Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, social services, health care administration, public administration, or equivalent related field (unless RN)
  • Master's degree in the above fields; MSW, MFT, PCC, or Psychology PhD preferred
  • Licensure: Licensed LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, or Psy.D. preferred; Registered Nurse (CA) required if education is in nursing; valid California driver's license
  • Minimum 3 years of senior leadership experience and 3 years of managing 24/7 behavioral health programs; CPR, First Aid, and ProAct certifications required within 30 days

Requirements:

  • Represent SBHG and its agencies to region's governmental agencies, elected officials, professional associations, and the community; promote SBHG's mission and core values
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of designated facilities and 24/7 programs; ensure compliance with Federal, State, County and local laws/regulations; supervise Administrators and Directors
  • Develop and monitor the operational budget and capital expenditures; review and approve policies and procedures; provide consultation and oversight to SBHG executives; ensure quality treatment programs for all clients
  • Lead business development and contract negotiations in the region; build and maintain relationships with agency, county, and community partners; travel 40-50% between Northern and Central California

Assistant Regional Administrator | 24 Hr. Mental Health Programs

Division/Program:

24 Hour Programs, Fresno CA

Starting Compensation:

150,000.00 to 190,000.00 USD Per Year

Working Location:

Remote (40-50% Travel Required)

Working Hours/Shift:

Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Travel Requirements:

  • Must live in Northern or Central California
  • 40-50% travel required by car (mileage included)

What you bring to SBHG (Qualifications):

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, social services, health care administration, public administration, or equivalent related field required (unless RN).

Master’s degree in above and MSW, MFT, PCC, or Psychology PhD preferred.

Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (for Assistant Regional Administrator overseeing 24/7 programs only)

Experience

Senior Leadership: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a senior leadership role (etc. Program Administrator, Sr. Program Director, Executive Director).

24/7 Program Oversight: For roles overseeing 24/7 programs (such as the Assistant Regional Administrator), a minimum of three (3) years of experience managing 24/7 behavioral health programs is strictly required.

License or Certification 

  • Licensed as LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, or Psy.D. preferred. 
  • Registered Nurse (CA) required, if education is in nursing
  • Valid California Driver’s License required. 

Additional requirement for 24/7 programs.

  • Valid CPR certification required within 30 days of employment.  
  • Valid First Aid certification required within 30 days of employment.  
  • Valid ProAct certification required within 30 days of employment

Employment is subject to:

  • Successfully completing pre-employment Health Screening and TB clearance
  • Receipt of “clear” or approved Live Scan results and Criminal Background Clearance
  • Must be over the age of eighteen (18)

How you will make a difference (Job Overview):

The Assistant Regional Administrator is involved in regionwide projects, statewide advocacy, strategic planning, and company leadership.  He/she/they represents SBHG and its agencies to the region’s governmental agencies, elected officials, professional associations, and the community.  The Assistant Regional Administrator oversees the management of the day-to-day operation of designated facilities.  This position assures compliance with Federal, State, County and local laws and regulations.  Assistant Regional Administrators oversee Administrators and Directors who directly manage these programs or provide direct management in their absence, as well as regional support staff.  Assistant Regional Administrators assures that there are comprehensive quality treatment programs and services for all clients, reviews and approves all policies and procedures of the agencies, and supports the consultation and oversight provided by SBHG executives and their departments.  Assistant Regional Administrators assists the organization in business development and contract negotiations throughout the region.
 

Division/Program Overview:
The Assistant Regional Administrator will oversee our 24/7 programs, traveling between the northern and central regions of California. Responsibilities include promoting SBHG's mission, motto, and core values, coordinating management duties with the Senior Regional Administrator, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The role involves supporting and developing senior-level leadership, developing and monitoring the operational budget and capital expenditure, supervising and evaluating administrators, directors, and regional managers. Additionally, the Assistant Regional Administrator will maintain strong relationships with agency, county, and community partners.
