Job description

The Mission

Backlight is a global media technology company dedicated to improving the entire video content lifecycle, from creation to monetization. Our suite of SaaS solutions empowers creative teams at every stage of production and is trusted by video-forward organizations like Google, Ubisoft, the Atlanta Hawks, and Marvel.

As our Senior Customer Success Manager, France, you'll own the success of our high-growth, mid-market customer portfolio in a key European market. You'll serve as a trusted advisor, driving retention, satisfaction, and expansion by ensuring customers maximize value from our solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Own the customer journey from onboarding to renewal and expansion.

  • Build consultative relationships with key stakeholders, aligning solutions with strategic goals.

  • Drive proactive, insight-driven engagements to ensure tangible customer value.

  • Monitor account health, preemptively mitigate risk, and identify upsell opportunities.

  • Act as the voice of the customer internally, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Contribute to team initiatives and mentor junior CSMs.

Requirements

You bring a proven track record of driving customer success in a B2B SaaS environment.

  • 5+ years in Customer Success, Account Management, or similar client-facing B2B SaaS role.

  • Experience managing 25+ mid-market accounts with multiple stakeholders.

  • Fluent French speaker with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Analytical, outcome-focused mindset leveraging engagement data.

  • Comfort navigating fast-paced, high-growth environments.

  • Confidence leading QBRs and strategic planning sessions.

  • The role is fully remote with some travel required.

Bonus points

  • Experience in the media technology or video production space.

  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
