Bid Manager (Operational Excellence)
Location: Remote , South Africa
Role Purpose
Own the end-to-end bid operating model so Sales and Pre-Sales leaders can execute compliant, competitive and on-time submissions at scale. The role focuses on processes, governance, tooling and enablement rather than document authorship or solution design.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and run the global bid lifecycle and governance model
• Manage bid intake, triage and bid/no-bid processes
• Stand up bid tools, templates and automation across M365
• Enforce compliance, risk management and commercial approvals
• Maintain proposal libraries and content lifecycle controls
• Enable pricing operations aligned to ILT delivery models
• Oversee submission quality and post-bid debriefs
ILT-Specific Focus
• Instructor availability and scheduling feasibility
• Modality coverage: ILT, VILT and blended delivery
• Vendor authorizations and alliance rules (e.g. Cisco, Microsoft, AWS)
• Training credits, vouchers and funding mechanisms
• Global tax, currency and cross-border delivery considerations
KPIs & Measures
• >=98% on-time submissions
• >=99% mandatory compliance pass rate
• 25% bid cycle time reduction
• >=80% approved content reuse
• Win-rate uplift on qualified bids
Experience & Skills
• 5–8+ years in bid or proposal operations
• Strong project and stakeholder management experience
• Advanced M365, CRM and workflow automation skills
• Commercial literacy and compliance rigor
• APMP Practitioner
