Role Overview
This role is for a Senior Accountant who manages key accounting operations such as general ledger oversight, month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance. The position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely financial data while contributing to strategic financial planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead month-end and year-end close process – prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements and reports.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations.
- Prepare and review financial statements and internal reports accurately and on time for management.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and improve internal controls to strengthen and improve financial processes and reduce risk.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners, including auditors and contractors by providing schedules, documentation, and explanations.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivables processes as needed.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting by providing data-driven recommendations.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, taking initiative to complete tasks ahead of schedule.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–5+ years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Proven the ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKYP, modeling
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.
