This is a remote position.

Role Summary

The Origami Developer is responsible for the technical implementation, configuration, and maintenance of the Origami Risk platform. This role involves a blend of software development, data engineering, and business analysis to ensure that the risk management system aligns with client-specific insurance and compliance workflows.


Key Responsibilities
System Configuration: Customize the Origami platform, including developing incident forms, claim layouts, dashboards, and automated system actions.
Data Migration & ETL: Design and execute data transformation solutions to migrate complex claims and policy data from legacy systems (e.g., Duck Creek, Guidewire) into the Origami database.

Integration Development: Build and support APIs and interfaces to connect Origami with third-party insurance systems and external data providers.

 

SQL Development: Write and optimize complex SQL scripts and queries for data mapping, reporting, and database integrity.

Requirement Translation: Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate functional insurance requirements into technical software specifications.

Agile Participation: Work within an Agile/Scrum framework to deliver sprint-based enhancements and support the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).


Technical Skills & Qualifications
Core Languages: Proficiency in C#, SQL, and JavaScript is typically required.
Web Technologies: Experience with XML, JSON, HTML, and CSS.

Platform Expertise: Prior experience with Origami Risk is mandatory. Familiarity with Guidewire or Duck Creek is highly preferred.

Tools: Hands-on experience with SQL Server, GitHub, and API testing tools like Postman or Newman.

DevOps: Basic understanding of cloud architecture (Azure/AWS) and CI/CD pipelines.

 


Requirements

Preferred Experience

3+ years of experience in insurance technology (InsurTech) or Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS).

Experience in a client-facing consultative role, managing technical delivery for large-scale enterprise projects.
