Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Controller to assist the Kansys accounting and finance operations and ensure the integrity of financial reporting. This role will be responsible for accurate and timely month-end reporting and ensuring compliance to corporate standards and processes.
As Financial Controller you will be reporting directly to the Director of Finance and will also support the wider Lumine Finance organization.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience within various aspects of accounting and finance, with superior analytical skills, a strong work ethic and great interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Ownership of the month-end close process, ensuring timely completion, accurate reconciliation, high quality financial reporting and analysis.
- Oversee the full accounting cycle, including customer invoicing, collections, and accounts payable.
- Develop, implement and maintain internal accounting controls, policies, and procedures in alignment with Lumine Group standards.
- Ensure adherence with IFRS 15 and all relevant accounting policies and standards.
- Prepare and deliver accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Drive improvements in working capital through effective debtor management, cash flow optimization, and proactive cash management.
- Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insightful financial analysis to the CEO and department leaders.
- Continuous review and improvement of processes and controls introducing automation where possible.
- Manage internal and external auditor relationships.
- Oversee tax compliance, ensuring accurate preparation and timely filing of VAT and related returns.
Skills & Qualifications
- Accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) is a plus.
- Demonstrates strength in application of current technical accounting knowledge.
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite is a plus) and advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Proven ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Excellent problem solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Attention to detail with an emphasis on time management to effectively meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong ability to adapt to changing environments and effectively manage a fast-paced, demanding workload.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
Experience
3+ years of experience in Finance and Accounting
