  • Ensure tax compliance, audits, and statutory reporting across regions, coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, HR, and Executive teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, providing strategic insights.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Financial Controller / Accounting Manager to lead and oversee the entire Accounting function across Canada and Latin America. This role will be responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, strong internal controls, and strategic financial oversight, while managing regional accounting teams.

This is a managerial role that requires strong leadership skills, a hands-on mindset, and the ability to work cross-culturally in a fast-growing international environment.

Key Responsibilities

Financial & Accounting Oversight

  • Lead and oversee all accounting operations for Canada and LATAM.
  • Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
  • Review and validate financial statements in compliance with local regulations and corporate standards.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies.


Leadership & Team Management

  • Manage and mentor accounting teams across multiple regions.
  • Coordinate workflows, priorities, and deadlines between Canada and LATAM.
  • Act as the main point of escalation for accounting-related issues.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.


Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audits, and statutory requirements in all regions.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory entities.
  • Identify financial risks and propose mitigation strategies.


Strategic & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Finance, Operations, HR, and Executive teams.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes.
  • Provide insights to leadership for decision-making and business growth.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent is a strong plus).
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial management roles.
  • Proven experience managing accounting teams.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-country accounting processes.
  • Experience working with Canada and/or LATAM accounting frameworks.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems / ERPs.
  • Fluent English and Spanish (mandatory).
