ORACLE OCI SENIOR TECHNICAL CONSULTANT (OFFSITE)

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Senior Technical Consultant to design, implement, and support cloud-based solutions. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in OCI services, cloud architecture, and migration strategies, working remotely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure cloud environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

OCI Architecture & Implementation

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Configure core OCI services including Compute, Storage, Networking, and Identity & Access Management (IAM)
• Develop cloud architecture aligned with business and technical requirements

Cloud Migration & Deployment

• Lead migration of on-premise or legacy systems to OCI
• Plan and execute lift-and-shift, re-platforming, or cloud-native migration strategies
• Ensure minimal downtime and business continuity during migrations

Security & Governance

• Implement OCI security best practices including IAM policies, network security, and data protection
• Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
• Perform security assessments and recommend improvements

Automation & DevOps

• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes
• Support DevOps practices for continuous integration and delivery

Performance & Optimization

• Monitor system performance and optimize cloud resources for cost and efficiency
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with architects, developers, and business stakeholders
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
• Prepare technical documentation and conduct knowledge transfer sessions

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• 7–12+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, or consulting
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Experience in cloud migration and deployment projects

Technical Skills

• OCI services: Compute, VCN, Load Balancer, Object Storage, Block Storage
• Identity & Access Management (IAM) and security configurations
• Networking concepts (VPN, FastConnect, subnets, routing)
• Experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix and scripting (Shell, Python)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices

Preferred Skills

• Oracle Cloud certifications (OCI Architect / Professional)
• Experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
• Knowledge of containers (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Understanding of database services (Oracle DB, Autonomous DB)
