Job description

Title: Data Engineer – Azure
Location: 100% Remote
Target Start Date: ASAP

Pay Rate / Salary (Ranges OK): 65,000 – 80,000 MXN (up to 95,000 – 100,000 MXN for Senior-evaluated profiles)

A global technology consulting company focused on Data Integration, Analytics, and Cloud Solutions is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design and implement scalable data pipelines on Azure. The team works with object-oriented pipelines and a strong software engineering mindset. The role requires a self-sufficient, proactive engineer who can work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain object-oriented data pipelines to ingest, integrate, and transform data from databases, APIs, and streaming platforms.
Write efficient, scalable Python code to process large volumes of data on Azure (Data Lake, Data Factory, Databricks), including unit tests, CI/CD, and automated deployments.
Analyze Spark execution plans, identify bottlenecks, and optimize pipelines through partitioning, shuffle management, and caching strategies.
