Job description

A highly regarded boutique litigation law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its growing team. This opportunity is ideal for a lawyer who wants substantial responsibility, meaningful courtroom exposure, and long-term professional growth within a collaborative and high-performing environment.

This position offers the opportunity to manage cases from inception through resolution while working closely with experienced trial attorneys.

Responsibilities

The selected attorney will handle matters from intake through resolution, including:

  • Investigating new cases

  • Drafting complaints and pleadings

  • Managing and pursuing discovery

  • Drafting and arguing motions

  • Taking and defending depositions

  • Communicating with clients and opposing counsel

  • Developing litigation strategy with senior attorneys

  • Collaborating with team members on case progression

This is a primarily remote position, though candidates must reside in South Florida and be available for occasional in-person hearings, proceedings, or meetings. The legal team collaborates regularly to coordinate case strategy and workflow.

Qualifications

Required

  • Licensed to practice law in Florida

  • Minimum 5 years of legal practice with at least 3 years in civil litigation

  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills

  • Ability to manage cases independently

  • Excellent professional judgment and attention to detail

Academic Credentials
Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Undergraduate degree earned with honors, and

  • Law degree from a Top 50 law school, OR

  • Law degree with honors from a Top 100 law school, OR

  • Law degree earned with high honors from another accredited law school

Preferred Experience

While not required, the following backgrounds are highly valued:

  • Federal clerkship experience

  • Federal court litigation experience

  • Complex civil litigation matters

  • Significant motion practice and courtroom exposure

  • Prior experience with the U.S. Attorneys Office or Federal Public Defender

  • Experience at boutique or high-quality litigation firms

  • Demonstrated longevity in prior attorney roles

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary starting at $170,000+ depending on experience
