Azure Cloud Developer (ADF+ Azure functions+ Python/Javascript)

Azure Cloud Developer

We are looking for a skilled Azure Cloud Developer with expertise in ADF (Azure Data Factory), Azure Functions, and proficiency in Python/Javascript. As an Azure Cloud Developer, you will be a part of our Information Technology team, responsible for supporting cloud development across Guy Carpenter. You will collaborate with various projects and create data solutions for a variety of business use cases, using cloud-based architecture.

Responsibilities:

1. Cloud Development: Participate in solution and design discussions using a cloud-based architecture to create data solutions for different business use cases.
   

2. Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise to teams in all phases of work, including analysis, design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge solutions.
   

3. Azure Platform: Demonstrate working knowledge of the Azure platform and the use of Azure cloud-native technologies.
   

4. Required Skills: Have proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Azure SQL Database, SQL, and Databricks.
   

5. Python/Javascript: Possess intermediate experience/knowledge in Python scripting language and proficiency in Javascript.
   

6. Additional Skills: Preferred experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Azure Active Directory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Storage, Azure API Management, SharePoint, and Okta.
   

Qualifications:

1. Total Work Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of total work experience.
   

2. Programming Experience: At least 3+ years of programming experience with Javascript/Python scripting.
   

3. Azure Cloud Experience: At least 2+ years of experience in development using Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure Service Bus.
   

4. Agile Methodology: Experience in developing on Agile methodology/SCRUM.
   

5. CI/CD Tools: Must have experience in CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub.
   

6. Testing Experience: At least 2+ years of experience in writing Unit Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing using tools like Postman, Fiddler, etc.
   

7. Database and Queuing Technologies: Familiarity with backend databases and queuing technologies, including relational/NoSQL databases, SQL functions, and queries.
   

8. Self-directed and Communication: Ability to work with limited management direction and exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives. Exceptional communication skills in working with customer stakeholders.
   

Certifications (Preferred):

1. Azure Fundamentals.
   

2. Azure Developer Associate.
