TM1 Admin for IBM Planning and Analytics (PA)

Location: Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Delhi, Coimbatore.

Type: Full-time

Overview: We are seeking an experienced TM1 Admin to join our team and take on the responsibility of managing the IBM Planning and Analytics (PA) environment. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in TM1 implementation and administration, with a strong focus on troubleshooting, system maintenance, and proactive monitoring. This role involves collaborating with project teams, ensuring system stability, and providing top-notch support to maintain the efficiency of our planning and analytics solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your expertise with IBM Planning and Analytics to provide Level 2 (L2) and Level 3 (L3) troubleshooting and diagnostic support.
  • Effectively manage incidents, problems, and service outages to minimize disruptions and ensure timely resolution.
  • Fulfill simple and standard service requests and project provisioning requirements.
  • Collaborate with project teams to gather requirements, encompassing aspects such as capacity planning, user management, data connections, tools, and capabilities.
  • Set up and configure environments, install and maintain base software, and manage patching and release activities.
  • Ensure the security of the system through proper access controls and authorization mechanisms.
  • Perform code migrations while ensuring minimal downtime and maximum accuracy.
  • Provide 24x7 production system support, promptly addressing and resolving any critical issues.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive work instructions and documentation to ensure the repeatability of tasks and processes.
  • Execute tasks required for audits and compliance standards.
  • Initiate, submit, and oversee the implementation of change requests, ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Collaborate with vendor helpdesk to log technical support tickets when needed.
  • Manage backup, data recovery, and service restoration processes to safeguard against data loss.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring capabilities to proactively identify and address potential performance issues.
  • Work closely with Level 3 (L3) support teams to deploy patches and bug fixes efficiently.
  • Identify and escalate system capacity-related concerns, including storage, licenses, and performance thresholds.
  • Monitor system performance, capacity, and utilization to optimize resource allocation and ensure efficient operations.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in IBM Planning and Analytics implementation and administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of IBM TM1 and related technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Proven experience in managing incidents, problems, and service outages to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Proficiency in documenting processes, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Solid understanding of system security practices and protocols.
  • Ability to work in a 24x7 production support environment, including on-call rotation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in patch management, release upgrades, and system monitoring.
  • Capacity planning experience to anticipate and address system growth requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience (preferred).
