Familiarity with CRSI standards for reinforced concrete detailing and AISC structural steel detailing
Working knowledge of design industry workflows, production cycles, and Autodesk BIM 360 experience

Requirements:
Lead structural Revit/CAD model creation and drawing production on projects, and coordinate with other engineering disciplines to develop bid-ready drawings
Manage drawing lists, annotate contract drawings, address redlines, and perform daily model management and maintenance
Develop and maintain structural content and standard details; integrate Revit outputs with other applications (Autodesk tools, construction phasing, cost estimation)
Coordinate and execute Navisworks model walkthroughs to ensure BIM compliance with BIMxP/CADD plan
Job description
This is a remote position.
My VA Support is seeking a Entry-Level Structural Designer with a high level of English proficiency (C1) for a full-time, remote position requiring 45 hours per week. The successful candidate will work on various projects for municipal, industrial, and federal clients. The candidate will work on project teams with structural, mechanical, process, and electrical engineers, architects, and designers on designs for facilities primarily serving the water and wastewater industries.
Project work includes: leading the structural Revit/CAD model creation and drawing production efforts on projects; and coordination with other engineering disciplines. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative, multi-discipline environment to develop innovative, cost-effective designs for new facilities, expansions, upgrades, and retrofits.
Detailed Description:
Knowledge of BIM technologies and workflow.
Manage drawing lists and initiate production of contract drawings.
Annotate contract drawings and address redline mark-ups.
Understand information required for development of bid-ready drawings.
Comply with BIMxP/CADD Plan to achieve consistent results.
Coordinate and execute Navisworks model walkthroughs
Perform daily model management and maintenance.
Develop and maintain structural content and standard details.
Integrate REVIT products with other applications (Autodesk, construction phasing, cost estimation).
Knowledge of industry standards such as NBIMS, NCS, AEC, a plus.
