Job description

This is a remote position.

RelightDepot.com is seeking two Account Managers to take full ownership of contractor accounts. This involves reactivating dormant customers, nurturing ongoing relationships, and quoting lighting projects of all types. This is a remote sales role ideal for experienced lighting professionals who are comfortable working independently, enjoy managing contractor relationships, and are confident quoting jobs ranging from simple orders to complex, value-engineered lighting packages.

You’ll work directly with our CRM, quoting tools, and support team to stay organized and focused on driving revenue. Unlike other roles, you will manage the full sales cycle from relationship building to quoting and closing.

What You’ll Do
  • Engage new leads and convert them into long-term accounts
  • Re-engage inactive or low-volume customers
  • Own relationships with assigned contractors and be their go-to lighting expert
  • Identify upcoming projects (e.g., new construction, renovations, tenant improvements)
  • Quote lighting packages directly (from everyday needs to VE packages)
  • Ensure accurate CRM usage (Zoho CRM) for all accounts, deals, and activities
  • Educate customers on availability, lead times, and value-engineered options
  • Track progress and build pipeline momentum to maximize account revenue
  • Collaborate with leadership on account strategy and sales goals

Who You Are

  • Lighting Experienced: You have 3+ years of industry experience, including quoting and specifying fixtures
  • Sales Pro: You’ve worked the phones, managed a pipeline, and closed deals
  • CRM-Savvy: You keep your deals and follow-ups organized
  • Self-Starter: You don’t wait for leads—you pursue them and stay on top of follow-ups
  • Clear Communicator: You can write professional emails and explain product benefits with confidence
  • Resourceful: Comfortable using digital tools (email, CRM, spreadsheets, ChatGPT if needed) to solve problems


Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in the lighting industry (required)
  • 1+ year of outbound phone-based sales experience (required)
  • Strong understanding of lighting specs, product categories, and common applications
  • Experience with quoting or specifying lighting projects
  • Familiarity with CRMs; Zoho CRM experience a plus
  • Professional communication and follow-through
  • Reliable computer, phone headset, and quiet workspace
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Benefits

  • Base Pay: $17–$22/hr depending on experience
  • Commission: 5% on net attributable sales above a monthly threshold (uncapped)
