Would you like to take architectural ownership of DevSecOps platform capabilities in a complex, regulated environment? You will play a central part in shaping Terma’s Internal Developer Platform, working close to execution and bridging architectural direction and delivery. Come and join us!
We are facing an exciting future with considerable growth and demanding changes, as we deliver advanced technologies and mission critical solutions for the defense and aerospace industry. Our systems provide security for people on land, at sea and in the air. Therefore, we are looking for a Feature Architect to become part of this journey and contribute to our overall purpose – securing people through advanced technology.
Your role in our team
As our new Feature Architect in DevSecOps, you are responsible for the architectural ownership and evolution of selected platform features within Terma’s Internal Developer Platform. In this role, you bring architectural direction, coherence, and clear ownership to DevSecOps practices and platform capabilities. You will work close to execution, bridging strategic architectural directions and day-to-day delivery. You collaborate closely with platform engineers and engage with delivery teams, IT, and other architects to translate concrete needs and constraints into platform capabilities.
The role combines architectural ownership with the ability to contribute hands-on when needed – for example to prototype solutions, de-risk designs, or unblock critical initiatives. All solutions must be operable, secure, and sustainable in a fully on-premises, regulated environment, where hardware and core infrastructure are provisioned in close collaboration with IT.
You will be part of the DevSecOps team of eight engineers based in Lystrup, working closely with the team on DevSecOps platform capabilities.
How you will make a meaningful contribution
Your key responsibilities include:
-
- Own and evolve the architectural direction of selected Developer Platform / DevSecOps capabilities, from shaping through adoption, with a focus on reducing fragmentation and increasing reuse
- Establish clear ownership, decision paths, and shared direction across the developer platform and its interfaces with other domains
- Work closely with delivery teams to understand real project needs and constraints, and translate these into actionable platform improvements with a strong focus on developer experience and adoption
- Work closely with operations teams to maintain and optimize a scalable infrastructure that supports future platform initiatives
- Contribute to and maintain platform roadmaps, balancing near-term delivery pressure with long-term sustainability, operability, and compliance
- Contribute hands-on with DevSecOps engineers when needed to prototype, de-risk, or stabilise platform solutions in a high-assurance, on-prem environment
Bring your world class expertise into play
You are fluent in English both in writing and verbal at a professional level. Danish is an advantage but not a requirement. Moreover, we are also looking for a new colleague with the following qualifications:
-
- You hold a relevant technical education (e.g. within software engineering, computer science, or IT) combined with solid experience in software and platform architecture.
- Deep understanding of cloud-native architecture patterns (e.g. declarative infrastructure, immutable deployments, self-service abstractions, automation-first design), applied in on-premises or regulated environments
- Hands-on experience designing, evolving, and operating on-premise developer platforms or DevSecOps environments
- Experience applying product thinking to internal platforms, with a focus on developer experience, usability, and adoption rather than tooling alone
- Demonstrated experience owning or driving technical roadmaps and maturing existing platforms and ways of working
- Ability to make and communicate sound architectural trade-offs under technical, organisational, and regulatory constraints
- Practical experience working with DevSecOps tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Gerrit, Nexus, SonarQube, Ansible, and Kubernetes in imperfect or evolving setups
As a person, you are comfortable taking ownership and applying a systems perspective across organizational boundaries. You are motivated by bringing structure and direction to complex, partially solved environments, where platforms and capabilities are still evolving. You are comfortable navigating complexity and aligning diverse stakeholders to support effective collaboration and decision-making.
