Game Animator/VFX Specialist (Work-from-Home, Project-Based)

We are on a quest for a talented Game Animator/VFX Specialist to bring our projects to life! As a Game Animator/VFX Specialist, you specialize in breathing life into gameplay through dynamic animations and impactful visual effects. You create immersive feedback loops and engaging visual “juice” that enhance the player's emotional experience, using your deep understanding of animation, player psychology, and casino-style reward systems.

Responsibilities: 

• Design and animate smooth, expressive 2D character movements and in-game actions.
• Create exciting visual effects such as explosions, hits, and win celebrations that amplify gameplay impact.
• Develop engaging reward animations that tap into player psychology and boost retention.
• Implement visual “juice” to reinforce positive feedback loops and energize the player experience.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and artists to ensure animation and effects are integrated smoothly into the game engine.
• Optimize animations and effects for mobile performance without compromising visual quality.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

Must-haves: 

• Experience in 2D character animation and in-game VFX creation.
• Proficiency with Spine 2D or similar animation software.
• Strong grasp of player psychology and its application in reward feedback design.
• Portfolio showcasing character animation, reward animations, and in-game VFX.
• Ability to create animations that are performance-optimized for mobile platforms.

Nice to haves: 

• Experience working on casino or mobile games.
• Basic knowledge of Unity or animation pipelines in game engines.
• Creative mindset with a strong eye for motion, timing, and visual storytelling.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
