Job description

We are looking for a motivated and growth-oriented Finance Manager to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our CEO and CFO, playing a key part in financial reporting, analysis, planning, and business decision-making across both our Philippine and Australian operations.  

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Analysis 

  • Prepare monthly management reports and financial analyses for both the Philippine workforce (via Kwanii) and the Australian entity
  • Develop board and management reporting packs that provide clear, actionable insights to senior leadership. 
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods. 
  • Analyze financial results and provide recommendations to support business decision-making. 

Budgeting and Forecasting 

  • Support the annual budgeting process and periodic forecast updates.
  • Partner with the CEO/CFO and department leaders to develop financial plans and projections. 
  • Monitor budget performance and investigate variances.
  • Identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities to improve business performance. 

Cash Flow Management 

  • Prepare and maintain short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts. 
  • Monitor liquidity and working capital positions across Philippine and Australian operations. 
  • Track cash inflows and outflows to ensure adequate funding for operational requirements. 
  • Provide recommendations to optimize cash management and improve cash flow efficiency. 

Compliance, Audit & Statutory Obligations 

  • Liaise with external accountants, advisors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Support audit and compliance activities, including the preparation of supporting documentation. 
  • Assist with year-end reporting and statutory obligations, including tax filings in Australia and the Philippines.  

Payroll & Workforce Reporting 

  • Support payroll and workforce reporting processes.
  • Coordinate with the Kwanii team regarding payroll administration, certificates of employment, and employee records.  
  • Maintain financial controls, reporting schedules, and supporting documentation. 

Process Improvement & Financial Controls 

  • Identify, recommend, and implement improvements to financial processes and reporting workflows.
  • Develop and maintain standardized financial procedures and documentation. 
  • Strengthen internal controls to improve accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. 
  • Support automation initiatives and system enhancements across finance and payroll processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance reporting quality and business performance. 
Desirable Skills and Experience
Must-Haves: 
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field. 
  • CPA-qualified or actively pursuing CPA certification. 
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, or management accounting. 
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and financial modeling capabilities. 
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing management reports and conducting financial analysis. 
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. 
  • Proactive attitude with a genuine willingness to learn and develop professionally. 
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A).  
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis skills. 
Nice-to-Haves:
  • Experience supporting Australian or international businesses (direct experience with Australian accounting standards, GST, or PAYG is highly advantageous). 
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks. 
  • Exposure to board-level reporting or experience working within a BPO or outsourcing environment. 
  • Experience with payroll processing and workforce administration. 
  • Experience supporting multi-entity or multinational organizations.  
  • Experience working with remote or distributed teams.  
  • Experience building dashboards using Excel, Power BI, or similar reporting tools.
