Job description

The Logistics Director APAC is responsible for overseeing and managing the logistics operations in the Asia Pacific region. He/She will ensure compliance with regulations and QHSE standards, optimize logistics processes, and drive cost efficiency and effectiveness. The Logistics Director APAC will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve overall objectives related to profitability, service, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with logistics regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE): Coordinate logistics operations with demand forecast and production plans.
  • Customer Care: Serve as the main point of contact for logistics-related customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Inventory Management: Optimize inventory levels to meet demand and minimize holding costs.
  • Logistics Footprint: Evaluate and optimize the regional logistics network for efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Distribution Network Supervision: Oversee distribution activities to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices.
  • Regional ATP Planning: Manage regional Available-to-Promise (ATP) planning data for order fulfilment.
  • Standardization and System Implementation: Implement standardized processes and systems for logistics operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics management, preferably in the APAC region.
  • Strong understanding of logistics regulations, QHSE standards, planning and manufacturing
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven track record in optimizing logistics processes and reducing costs. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant logistics software and systems.
