About the role: 

Producers are the backbone of Amber, responsible for leading teams, driving projects, reporting progress, and managing expectations between partners and development teams. 

Your goal is to get projects completed on time, within budget, at quality, and exceeding partner expectations. 

You will work closely with internal and external developers of all disciplines, external clients, and internal Amber leadership. 

Using excellent communication, great project management, fine-tuned empathy, and self-motivation, you will own your project and guide your team to success.

  • Monitor team health, create a safe and empowering environment. 
  • Bring clarity to roles and responsibilities within the team. 
  • Navigate team dynamics, address conflicts, escalate problems. 
  • Keep projects sustainable and profitable. 
  • Develop, improve, and maintain team processes. 
  • Schedule, lead, and attend meetings with clear agendas and comprehensive note-taking. 
  • Provide weekly reporting to leadership. 
  • Collaborate with leaders to identify, mitigate, and escalate risks. 
The Skills: 
  • 7+ years of project management expertise. 
  • Experience leading teams and tracking complex projects. 
  • Excellent understanding of the software development process. 
  • Strong knowledge of project management, including Agile. 
  • Written and spoken communication that is effective and succinct. 
  • Self-motivated, proactive, always seeking improvements. 
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to drive towards clarity. 
  • Experience reporting on project status and risks. 
  • Facilitation of effective retrospectives, post-mortems, and reviews. 
  • Objectively interpret feedback and make recommendations. 
  • Function effectively under pressure in complex environments. 
Nice to have:  
  • Shipped one or more games in a production role. 
  • People management experience. 
  • Passion for fostering development processes and best practices. 
  • Considerable experience playing games. 
  • Deep expertise with task management software such as Jira. 
  • Strong familiarity with complex spreadsheets. 
  • Experience validating and creating proposals for new projects.
