  • Apply deep MDM functional knowledge (Scalar/Interval Reads, Tamper and Events Data, VEE Rules, Device/Usage Management, TOU, IMD, and XML formats) to project delivery.
  • Manage project teams, ensure knowledge transfer, and enforce SDLC governance with proper documentation.

This is a remote position.

Utilities Manager

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Utilities Manager with over 10 years of expertise in the implementation of Utility Applications, specifically Oracle Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) and Oracle Master Data Management (MDM). The Utilities Manager will be responsible for overseeing projects related to Utility applications, with a focus on Power, Water, and Gas domains. Knowledge and experience in the water domain would be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management:

    • Utilize strong project management skills to effectively lead and manage Utility application projects.
    • Preferably possess certifications such as PMP, Prince2, ITIL, and Six Sigma to ensure efficient project execution.
  2. Utility Application Expertise:

    • Serve as the project manager for Utility applications, specifically Oracle CC&B and Oracle MDM.
    • Understand and oversee the implementation of functional modules within Utility CC&B, including Customer Information System, Rates, Billing, Payments, Meter Read, Meter Management, Collections, Case Management, New Connections, and more.
  3. MDM Functional Knowledge:

    • Possess a deep understanding of MDM Functional modules, including Scalar and Interval Reads, Tamper and Events Data, VEE Rules, Device Management, Usage Management, Measuring Components, Device Events, Device Communication, Usage Subscription, Time of Use (TOU), Interval Meter Data (IMD), and XML formats.
  4. Team Management:

    • Effectively manage project teams, ensuring that knowledge transfer (KT) processes are carried out efficiently.
  5. Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC):

    • Apply comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle to oversee project phases.
    • Ensure that all relevant documentation is prepared, reviewed, and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Utilities management, specifically in the implementation of Oracle CC&B and MDM.
  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record in successfully delivering Utility application projects.
  • Certification in project management (PMP, Prince2), ITIL, or Six Sigma is highly advantageous.
  • Extensive knowledge of Utility CC&B Functional modules and their integration.
  • Proficiency in managing teams and knowledge transfer processes.
  • Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the ability to ensure proper documentation practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems efficiently.
