Requirements

We are seeking a Business Analyst (BA) Contractor to support data collection and analysis for Business Applications (APM) and Technology Portfolios (TPM). Your primary focus will be to gather, document, and analyze data flows, system integrations, and dependencies to enhance visibility into the organization’s technology landscape. You will collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders to develop clear, accurate data flow diagrams and integration mappings, enabling informed strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Collection & Documentation: Conduct comprehensive data gathering for APM and TPM, ensuring accurate representation of systems, dependencies, and relationships.
  
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business and technical teams to identify, document, and validate application portfolios, integrations, and data flows, ensuring alignment with business and technology strategies.
  
• Process & Integration Mapping: Develop data flow diagrams (DFDs), integration maps, and process workflows to visualize system interactions, dependencies, and data exchanges across the enterprise.
  
• System & Application Analysis: Assess existing applications, integrations, and technology platforms, identifying gaps, redundancies, and optimization opportunities.
  
• Requirements Gathering: Work with stakeholders to define and document functional and technical requirements related to data management, integrations, and application rationalization.
  
• Risk & Compliance Alignment: Identify and mitigate risks related to data inconsistencies, integration challenges, and compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to governance and security policies.
  
• Continuous Improvement: Recommend enhancements in data collection, reporting, and technology portfolio management to improve operational efficiency and decision-making.
  
• Communication & Reporting: Present findings through clear documentation, reports, and visualizations, effectively communicating insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in business analysis, data collection and rationalization, Enterprise Architecture (including advanced diagramming, documentation, and presentation development), and/or IT portfolio management in enterprise environments.
  
• Experience in technical writing, Technical Product Ownership, or Technical Program Management is a plus.
  
• Strong understanding of IT governance, compliance, and risk management best practices, including IT Service Management (ITSM, ITIL), Software Asset Management, vendor performance management, Enterprise Architecture, and COBIT frameworks.
  
• Expertise in Business Applications (APM) and Technology Portfolio Management (TPM), with hands-on experience in data flow diagramming, system mapping, and integration documentation in complex IT landscapes.
  
• Proven experience working in enterprise IT environments, covering applications, data, infrastructure, security, and integration frameworks.
  
• Proficiency in Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with experience collaborating in cross-functional teams.
  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with fluency in English.
  
• Hands-on experience with enterprise modeling, system integration, and data visualization tools, including: Diagrams.net (Draw.io), Lucidchart, Archi, Figma, Visio, PlantUML, Mermaid Charts, Freeplane, Xmind, MindJet MindManager, Atlassian Confluence, or similar tools.
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
