  • Lead revenue generation activities: identify and secure funding through CSR, education grants, philanthropic funders, and aligned partners; develop compelling pitches, proposals, and scale paid programs, subscriptions, and course bundles for CSS and SEC.

About Us: Climate Collective Foundation (CCF) 

Climate Collective Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting climate tech startups. We work within the climate ecosystem to foster innovation by connecting startups with funding, investors, education, and accelerator programs. Our remote team of 50+ members operates collaboratively to drive impactful, sustainable solutions for climate-related challenges. 

 

About the Role 

The Senior Specialist – Education will lead the development, launch, and scale-up of the Startup Earth Centre (SEC), fellowship programs, climate data hackathons and related education initiatives at CCF to support aspiring climate tech entrepreneurs and innovators. This senior role requires extensive experience in education program design, course development, platform-building, and business development within the climate, sustainability, or edtech sector. The Candidate will build high-quality learning programs and establish SEC as a strong and scalable platform. They will work closely with internal teams, industry experts, universities, startup incubators, accelerators, and other stakeholders to deliver impactful educational outcomes and revenue growth. 
We also plan to scale the Climate Startup School (CSS) for working professionals, young graduates and investors. The candidate will drive the commercialization and outreach strategy for CSS courses 

Key Responsibilities  

Vertical Leadership & Strategy 

  • Build and lead the education vertical as a fully functional unit within CCF. 

  • Develop the 3-year strategic roadmap for both SEC and CSS including curriculum offerings, partnerships, revenue model, and platform development. 

  • Build SEC into a recognised climate education brand across India and the Global South. 

Programme & Course Development  

  • Lead curriculum design, content development/curation, accreditation of climate tech and entrepreneurial learning offerings.  

  • Collaborate with domain experts, startup founders, government agencies, and industry leaders to create structured learning journeys for aspiring entrepreneurs 

Revenue & Fundraising 

  • Identify and secure funding through CSR, education grants, philanthropic funders, and aligned partners. 

  • Develop compelling pitch decks, proposals and concept notes 

  • Create and scale paid programs, subscription offerings, and course bundles for CSS and SEC. 

Platform Building & Innovation 

  • Support development of the SEC platform, ensuring strong user experience and effective delivery models 

  • Integrate gamification, assessments, and other digital and AI enabled tools to engage learners 

  • Build monitoring and feedback systems to evaluate learning outcomes and programme impact. 

Partnerships and Community Building  

  • Build and manage relationships with universities, youth platforms, incubators, accelerators, and climate experts. 

  • Represent CCF at education, greenskilling, and climate innovation events. 

Team Leadership 

  • Build and mentor a small team of curriculum designers, trainers, mentors and content specialists over time. 

  • Collaborate with CCF’s ecosystem, partners, and program teams for integrated execution 



Requirements

Qualifications and Experience 

  • Master's degree in education, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related fields. 

  • 10+ years of experience in program management, educational program development, or research in the climate, EdTech, sustainability, innovation ecosystem or social impact  

  • Strong training or experience in curriculum design, instructional design, or pedagogy (EdTech experience preferred). 

  • Proven experience leading education programs or university partnerships at scale. 

Skills Required 

  • Strong curriculum and content development skills 

  • Ability to design, launch and promote education programmes 

  • Strong communication, facilitation, and storytelling skills 

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to build a vertical independently
