Sales Development Representative

Location: Remote (South Africa-based)
Working Hours: Full-time | Aligned to UK working hours
Reports To: Head of Sales
Compensation: Competitive Base Salary + Uncapped Commission

About the Company

This rapidly scaling tech startup is transforming how people stay powered on the go, operating a network of portable charging stations available across thousands of venuesbars, restaurants, stadiums, and transport hubs. The service allows users to rent power banks on demand, giving them the freedom to stay mobile without battery anxiety.

They are now looking for a driven and energetic Sales Development Representative (SDR) based in South Africa to help grow their network of venue partners across the UK.

Role Overview

As the Sales Development Representative, you'll be the first point of contact for new prospects. You'll manage a high volume of outbound and inbound sales activity, engaging decision-makers and introducing them to the value of this portable charging solution. If you thrive in a dynamic, high-call-volume environment and are motivated by performance, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

Make 80-100 outbound and follow-up calls per day to venue managers and decision-makers
Follow up on inbound leads from marketing and referral sources
Qualify leads and book appointments or demos for the senior sales team
Conduct light discovery to understand each venue's needs and tailor your pitch
Update and manage lead information in the CRM (HubSpot or similar)
Source new leads using online tools, lead lists, and cold calling
Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to improve outreach efforts
Consistently meet or exceed KPIs and monthly performance targets

Candidate Profile
Must-Haves

Minimum 1 year of experience in telesales, cold calling, or SDR roles
Professional fluency in spoken and written English
Confident and engaging phone manner with strong communication skills
High energy, motivated, and resilient personality
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven role
Tech-savvy and quick to learn new tools and systems
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment

Nice to Have

Experience in high-volume outbound calling environments
Background in selling to hospitality, retail, or events venues
Familiarity with CRMs like HubSpot, Salesforce, or Pipedrive
Previous experience working with a UK-based or international sales team
