Job description

We are seeking a Senior Java Engineer to design and deliver AI-enabled solutions using Java technologies. In this role, you will lead the implementation of business-critical, AI-powered features while contributing across the entire Software Development Life Cycle, from solution design through deployment and continuous improvement. This is a remote position based in Lithuania, working on cloud-native, microservices-based solutions for enterprise clients. Responsibilities Design, build and deploy AI-enabled solutions using Java technologies Lead the implementation of business-critical features powered by AI Design and build microservices-based architectures and event-driven integrations Contribute to all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle, including solution design, prompt engineering, model integration, evaluation, monitoring, deployment and continuous improvement Stay updated on the latest trends in Java, cloud and AI technologies Requirements 3+ years of experience in backend platform development Proficiency in Java and/or Scala Hands-on experience with cloud platforms - AWS and/or Azure Experience designing and building microservices-based solutions Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures Competency in SQL and data modeling Qualifications in solution design, prompt engineering and model integration Familiarity with evaluation, monitoring, deployment and continuous improvement of AI solutions English proficiency at B2 level or higher Nice to have Experience with React or Angular/TypeScript Flexibility to use Terraform for Infrastructure as Code Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS / AKS) and CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab CI or Jenkins Familiarity with Generative AI fundamentals and Generative AI-assisted development
