Job description

We are a dedicated Squad on a mission to redefine Swiss watchmaking, rooted in our legacy since 1884. Driven by innovation and precision we create timepieces that combine modern-retro design with casual, approachable, and sustainable luxury — powered by passionate teams around the world.

Join our vibrant team in La Chaux-de-Fonds as a Production Synergy Project Intern and be part of something extraordinary!

At the crossroads of production, quality and supply chain, this internship offers a rare opportunity to question how two of our workshops work, and to bring them closer together.
The two workshops run one after the other, each as a separate trade, and each has built over time its own ways of working and its own resources. Your mission will be to build what they can genuinely share, and to explore how far this convergence can go - up to the question of a single integrated line, one continuous flow, one production order, no official intermediate stock. Your conclusions will be presented to the management.

Your contribution:

Build common ways of working:

  • You compare how the two workshops currently operate and identify opportunities to establish common ways of working.
  • You assess the potential benefits of harmonizing practices, using production data to support your analysis.
  • You contribute to defining shared standards and support their formalization.
  • You support the deployment of these standards and help teams navigate the change.

Explore the pooling of resources:

  • You map the resources available in each workshop and identify opportunities to share them.
  • You assess the potential benefits of resource pooling in terms of capacity and operational flexibility.
  • You support the definition of the conditions and requirements for implementing resource pooling.

Study a line organization:

  • You map and quantify the current flows between the two workshops.
  • You model a target line organization and assess its resource requirements.
  • You identify the expected benefits, implementation prerequisites, and potential risks of this organizational setup.
  • You contribute to developing a recommendation for presentation to management.

Do you think there is even more to discover in this role? You're right - apply today and learn more!

You will fit perfectly into our #Squad if:

  • You are pursuing a Master's degree from a top-tier engineering school in Industrial Engineering, Production Systems, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • You have previous academic or internship experience in industrial engineering, production, supply chain, or process improvement.
  • You have project management skills, including scoping, planning, and stakeholder alignment.
  • You have advanced Excel skills and you demonstrate strong data analysis capabilities and structured problem-solving skills.
  • You are able to write clear procedures and formalize operational standards.
  • You are familiar with lean and industrial engineering tools, such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM), line balancing, takt time, and bottleneck analysis.
  • You are familiar with quality tools, including control plans and non-conformity management.
  • Your knowledge of flow modelling and simulation software, such as FlexSim, Simul8, AnyLogic, Arena, or similar tools will be a strong plus (nice to have).
  • You understand skills management and work organization principles (nice to have).
  • You have knowledge of cost analysis and business case development (nice to have).
  • You are familiar with ERP systems, preferably SAP or similar solutions (nice to have).
  • You have knowledge of machining or assembly processes (nice to have).
  • You have experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools (nice to have).
  • You are fluent in French and you have a good command of English.

We invite you to apply even if you do not meet all of these criteria.
