RYZE

Functional & Wellness Beverages

RYZE was founded in 2019 by Andrée Werner and Rashad Hossain, out of a parents' basement, with a mission to change daily health, starting with the morning routine: a nutrient-dense mushroom coffee delivering clean energy, mental clarity, and immune support. Built on a Direct-to-Consumer foundation with a performance marketing engine, RYZE achieved hockey-stick growth and a community of over 1 million active subscribers. DTC remains the foundation, but RYZE has expanded into mass retail, quickly becoming the #2 item in Target's overall coffee category and is now executing a multi-channel expansion, with a cross-category launch coming in early 2027. RYZE is uniquely positioned to redefine how people think about daily wellness. We're a lean, fast-moving, mission-driven team who believe daily rituals create the foundation for living your greatest life, and we're just getting started!

Job description

COMPANY 🌱

WHAT YOU'LL DO 🎯

RYZE is a fast-growing DTC brand built on mushroom coffee, and most of our new customers come from paid social. Each ad angle that wins gets its own landing page. Our ad team ships dozens of new ads every week — and that number is growing. The pages have to keep up.

You'll own both the copy and the strategy for those pages: listicles, advertorials, quiz funnels, and pages tailored to a single ad. Our in-house page tool handles layout, and AI handles first drafts. Your job is the judgment — you decide what a page has to say to turn a click from one specific ad into a customer, then you prove it worked in the numbers.

Responsibilities will include:

Landing Page Strategy

  • Decide which page format fits each ad angle and audience, what the page needs to say, and what to test next.
  • Take a winning ad's hook, promise, and audience, carry them above the fold, and keep the path to the offer short. One ad angle, one page — a headline swap doesn't count.
  • Build the playbook: winning pages become template rules. Write down what worked so the next page starts from a stronger place.

Copy & Production Volume

  • Ship 15+ live page variants per week, built in our page tool from approved sections and templates.
  • Use AI for drafts and your own judgment for the final edit.
  • Pages go from winning ad to live page in days, not weeks.

CRO & Optimization

  • Use heatmaps and section-reach data for every live page to find where readers drop off, close the open loops the ad created, and rewrite underperforming sections.
  • Run every page against a control. Read results on conversion rate, revenue per visitor, new-customer cost, and bundle take rate — then use them to decide what gets written next.
  • Judge your work on revenue, not aesthetics.

Legal & Compliance

  • Write in structure/function language — 'supports focus,' never 'treats anxiety.'
  • Send pages through legal and compliance review, act on redlines quickly, and keep the persuasive core of the page intact while doing it.
  • Maintain compliance with FTC and applicable regulatory standards for functional food marketing.

Professional Qualifications

  • 5+ years of direct-response copywriting, with DTC brands as a substantial part — most of your work has been long-form pages for paid traffic (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, native).
  • Proven experience with advertorials, listicles, VSL scripts, or quiz funnels — brand sites and product pages alone won't be enough.
  • A portfolio with numbers: for at least two pages, you can name the metric, the control it beat, and why you think it won. Bring a page that lost too — and tell us what you learned.
  • Experience working with legal and compliance teams in a regulated category — supplements, health, wellness, beauty, or finance. You know the line between a strong benefit claim and one you can't make.
  • A system for volume — you've shipped many variants on short timelines without quality slipping, and AI is already part of how you work.
  • Comfort with numbers: you don't need to write SQL, but you need to look at a test readout and say what it means for the next page.
  • Strong written English at the level of a native writer for a US audience.

Core Competencies

  • Message match — Carries the ad's hook, promise, and audience into the page without breaking the thread. Understands that a headline swap is not a landing page.
  • Direct response judgment — Knows what a page has to say to convert a specific click from a specific ad. Makes strategic decisions, not just copy decisions.
  • Volume & systems — Ships 15+ variants a week without quality slipping. Has a repeatable process and uses AI effectively as part of it.
  • CRO literacy — Reads heatmaps, scroll data, and test results. Identifies where pages break and rewrites based on evidence, not instinct.
  • Revenue accountability — Evaluates their own work on conversion rate, RPV, new-customer cost, and bundle take rate. Not on how good the copy sounds.
  • Compliance writing — Writes persuasively within structure/function language. Takes redlines without the page going flat.
  • Playbook building — Extracts principles from winning pages and turns them into reusable rules so the next page starts stronger.

HOW TO APPLY

Send your portfolio with at least two pages and the results each one drove. Include one page that performed and one that didn't — and tell us what you learned from each. Pages without numbers won't make the shortlist.
