Job Summary

You will be one of the senior engineers building a new headless front-end for one of the most visited news sites in the world. The team has an aggressive goal of launching a first page early next year. You will shape the architecture, set front-end standards, and work with AI-assisted workflows in the news media industry.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the new headless front-end architecture.

• Deliver the initial launch page within the early-next-year schedule.

• Establish front-end standards, component patterns, testing frameworks, and code review processes.

• Maintain ownership of performance, Core Web Vitals, SEO, and accessibility.

• Connect user interfaces with headless CMS platforms and internal APIs.

• Mentor team members and collaborate closely with the Core Web engineering manager.

• Implement and refine AI-driven agentic workflows across the development lifecycle.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

• 5+ years in senior front-end engineering.

• Advanced React, Next.js (App Router) and TypeScript.

• Experience building on Headless CMS and API-driven content.

• Focus on Core Web Vitals, Technical SEO, and Web Accessibility.

• Proven record establishing automated testing practices.

• Active AI-First workflow using daily AI coding assistants.

• Fluent English for daily collaboration with a US team.
