Looking for Philippines-based candidates

Job Role: Video Editor

Compensation range: $1,800 - $2,000 AUD/month

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.

Who The Client Is: A Perth-based video production company creating video content for businesses across construction, mining, professional services and more.

We help businesses tell their stories through high-quality video content, from brand films and recruitment videos to ongoing social media content.

Role Overview: We’re looking for a skilled Video Editor to join our team and turn filmed footage into polished, engaging video content.

You’ll work across a variety of projects, including social media videos, brand stories, recruitment videos and project content. Using our briefs and pre-production documents, you’ll take projects from the first cut through to final delivery, ensuring every edit meets the brief, our quality standards and deadlines.

You’ll collaborate with our production team, take feedback on board and contribute creative ideas to make each video better. You’ll also have the opportunity to develop your skills while working across a diverse range of industries and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit a variety of video projects, including social media content, brand films, recruitment videos and project videos, using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • Review project briefs, storyboards and pre-production documents to understand the creative direction and client objectives. Edit independently to bring them to life.
  • Organise raw footage, audio and project files into a clean, structured Premiere Pro project before editing.
  • Deliver polished first cuts that follow the brief, meet LPV’s quality standards and are ready for producer review.
  • Complete colour grading, audio mixing, captions, graphics and final exports as required.
  • Manage revision rounds efficiently, implementing feedback accurately across V2s, V3s and final deliveries.
  • Communicate proactively with producers and team leads about progress, feedback, deadlines and potential issues.
  • Keep ClickUp tasks, project timelines, file structures and version control up to date.
  • Follow LPV’s media management and backup procedures to ensure footage and project files are stored securely and correctly.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional video editing experience, including social media content and corporate, promotional or brand videos.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and working knowledge of Adobe After Effects.
  • Experience with colour grading, audio mixing, captions, motion graphics and final export workflows.
  • Strong editing fundamentals, including storytelling, pacing, sequencing and visual continuity.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to interpret briefs and feedback, implement revisions efficiently and maintain consistent quality.
  • Strong file management, project organisation and version control practices.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with producers and team leads.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
