Job description

Deal Origination, Client Coverage & Executive Engagement

  • Own market development and deal origination across private equity deal teams, operating partners, investment banks, and relevant corporate development stakeholders.
  • Activate an existing network of senior relationships and build a prioritized account map, relationship plan, referral strategy, and coverage model for the United States; extend coverage into Canada where experience and relationships support it.
  • Engage credibly with partners, managing directors, principals, and senior deal professionals to understand the investment thesis, process stage, access level, decision deadline, and underwriting questions.
  • Build coordinated coverage with the existing Detroit (Southfield) and New York-based sales team and consulting leadership, establishing clear account ownership and avoiding overlap.
  • Create urgency and confidence in high-pressure deal environments, maintaining responsiveness through pre-LOI, post-LOI, exclusivity, and sell-side preparation processes.

Commercial Strategy, Sales Enablement & Market Presence

  • Build the commercial structure for how we sell M&A advisory capabilities, including pitch decks, qualifications packages, credentials/qualifications, proposal modules, scope menus, pricing logic, sample deliverables, and follow-up materials.
  • Translate Mobility Global data, subject-matter expertise, industry access, and repeatable CDD methods into a differentiated, investment-committee-relevant value proposition.
  • Define and manage a focused event strategy across private equity, investment banking, automotive, mobility, and industrial forums; prioritize sponsorships, speaking opportunities, roundtables, and relationship-building activities based on expected commercial impact.
  • Partner with Marketing to define target audiences, messages, campaigns, thought leadership, digital content, and event support that reflect how deal professionals buy and evaluate due diligence services.
  • Develop a repeatable referral and ecosystem strategy that includes lenders, legal advisers, quality-of-earnings providers, industry executives, and other transaction participants, where appropriate.

Opportunity Qualification, Scoping & Closing

  • Qualify opportunities based on deal stage, investment thesis, target profile, access, competitive dynamics, budget, timing, and probability of award.
  • Lead discovery, solution design, proposal development, and commercial negotiations, partnering with delivery leaders to create focused workplans and defensible evidence strategies.
  • Shape buy-side CDD scopes across company, market, competitor, and customer workstreams, including risk and upside scenarios, underwriting implications, and 30/60/100-day planning inputs.
  • Shape sell-side market studies that support market positioning, growth runway, customer outlook, competitive differentiation, and the equity story used in transaction materials and management discussions.
  • Maintain disciplined pricing and engagement economics while balancing speed, client needs, delivery capacity, and risk.

Sector Coverage & Solution Expansion

  • Lead with deep automotive and mobility expertise across OEMs, suppliers, components, powertrain, manufacturing technologies, aftermarket, and the broader value chain.
  • Expand transaction coverage into strategic adjacencies where automotive processes, data, and technical knowledge create an advantage, including medium- and heavy-duty truck, agriculture, data centers, and broader industrial markets.
  • Recognize cross-sector applications of manufacturing capabilities such as metal stamping, castings, machining, joining, coatings, automation, quality systems, and supply-chain localization.
  • Work with internal experts to determine where Mobility Global evidence and methods are directly applicable, where external research is required, and how to position capabilities without overextending the offer.

Commercial Management, Forecasting & Operating Cadence

  • Establish and maintain a transparent account and pipeline system with defined stages, next actions, owners, probabilities, expected fees, decision dates, and delivery implications.
  • Run a weekly cadence focused on priority outreach, live opportunities, proposal actions, relationship coverage, and near-term blockers.
  • Run a monthly business review covering pipeline health, conversion, wins and losses, event and campaign performance, account penetration, forecast, and required leadership decisions.
  • Lead quarterly planning that refreshes target accounts, sector and event priorities, marketing programs, credentials, revenue outlook, and lessons learned from completed pursuits and engagements.
  • Set annual and quarterly objectives with leadership and deliver against agreed revenue, qualified pipeline, conversion, repeat-business, and market-visibility goals.
