Job description

As a Project Director, you’ll mentor project managers and senior project managers, partner with account and creative leaders, and steward the operational success of major client engagements. You’ll balance the art of client service with the science of delivery, ensuring that every engagement is strategically sound, financially responsible, and executed with P10’s hallmark intentionality and passion. You will set the standard for project management excellence across the agency, shaping practices that ensure consistency, creativity, and precision in everything we deliver

You will report to the Head of Project Management.


Responsibilities:

Client & Project Leadership

  • Oversee the delivery of complex, high-value, multi-channel pharmaceutical marketing campaigns.
  • Partner with account leads and creative leadership to ensure work meets strategic and regulatory requirements while exceeding client expectations.
  • Anticipate risks, resolve issues, and safeguard delivery timelines and budgets.
  • Operational & Financial Stewardship

    • Own financial oversight for large accounts and portfolios, including forecasting, revenue recognition, and margin management.
    • Proactively identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and profitability within accounts.
    • Contribute to agency-level operational planning and resourcing strategies.
    • Craft Leadership
      • Serve as the discipline lead for Project Management, setting standards, processes, and best practices across the team.
      • Mentor project managers and senior project managers, helping them grow their skills and careers.
      • Lead knowledge-sharing sessions, tools training, and play a central role in upholding project management excellence at P10.

      Strategic Influence

      • Act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams, helping align project execution with business objectives.
      • Provide thought leadership on process optimization, workflow design, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, project management, or related field.

  • 6–10 years of experience in project management within a pharmaceutical marketing agency.

  • Proven success leading large, cross-functional client programs and managing high-value accounts.

  • Deep knowledge of medical, legal, and regulatory (MLR) processes in the US and/or Canada.

  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.

  • Strong financial acumen with experience in account forecasting and margin management.

  • Expertise with project management systems and tools.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
