About this Role:

FiberTel is looking for a Benefits and Leave Specialist to join our HR team in Springville, UT.

Reporting to the HR Manager, this position administers employee benefits and leaves of absence, coordinates with our corporate benefits team, reconciles benefit billing to payroll, and answers employee benefit questions.

Pay: $23-27/hr, DOE

What You'll Do:
  • Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations and submit them to our corporate benefits team
  • Serve as the main liaison between FiberTel employees and corporate benefits administration
  • Reconcile benefit billing to payroll deductions across pay cycles and resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare and review benefit billing reports
  • Administer leaves of absence, including FMLA eligibility determinations, designations, and required notices
  • Track leave status, certifications, and return-to-work dates
  • Respond to employee questions on benefits, eligibility, and leave
  • Maintain accurate, confidential benefit and leave records
  • Support HR tasks as needed
What You'll Bring:
  • 2+ years of experience in benefits and leave administration
  • Working knowledge of FMLA and other leave laws, including notice and designation requirements
  • Understanding of how benefit deductions flow through payroll
  • Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with MS Office suite, including Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Experience in a corporate-administered benefits environment a plus!
  • Experience in the construction industry a plus!
