Senior Azure Gen AI Engineer

CTG is seeking to fill a Senior Azure Gen AI Engineer position for our client.

Location: Remote
Duration: 7 months (11/1/2026–5/31/2027), possible extension through 12/31/2027

Duties:

• Design, develop, and deploy enterprise AI and Generative AI solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Build production-ready AI applications using Azure AI Services, Azure Machine Learning, Azure OpenAI, LangChain, Gemini, and Hugging Face.
• Develop solutions for conversational AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), NLP, semantic search, and intelligent automation.
• Design and optimize AI/ML models for scalable Azure deployment.
• Develop APIs and cloud-native microservices using Python, Java, Node.js, and Java Spring Boot.
• Build event-driven solutions using Kafka and integrate AI applications with enterprise systems.
• Develop secure, scalable, containerized solutions and support AI platforms through production deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to accelerate AI use cases from concept through production.

Experience:

• 6+ years of software development experience with Python, Java, Node.js, and Azure.
• Strong experience designing and deploying AI/ML and Generative AI solutions in Azure.
• Proven experience building complex, scalable, containerized, microservices-based applications.
• Experience developing and optimizing AI models for production environments.
• Hands-on experience with NLP, semantic search, RAG, LLMs, embeddings, and AI application development.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, Kafka, APIs, and enterprise system integration.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $78.00 to $83.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
