Job Summary

We are looking for an expert and hands-on Tech Lead (Senior Enterprise Technology Engineer) with at least 8 years of experience in Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Enterprise Technology platforms.

This role is focused on designing, building, integrating, and supporting enterprise-grade data and AI solutions that enable digital transformation across the Shipping business.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role, with an expectation to personally contribute to solution architecture, engineering design, data pipeline development, GenAI application delivery, code reviews, technical governance, and operational support.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with leadership capabilities to drive the adoption of modern Data & AI platforms, Generative AI, and sophisticated analytics solutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise Data & AI solutions, providing hands-on technical leadership, mentoring engineering teams, and driving innovation through emerging technologies and engineering guidelines.
  • Design and deliver scalable, secure, and governed data platforms and products using data lakes, lakehouses, warehouses, and real-time/batch data pipelines to enable enterprise analytics, AI, and business intelligence solutions.
  • Design, develop, and operationalize enterprise AI solutions using Machine Learning, Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and agentic AI patterns, incorporating model optimization, evaluation frameworks, and responsible AI guardrails to deliver secure, scalable, and business-centric intelligent applications.
  • Develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT, data integration, and automation frameworks, ensuring high standards of data quality, integrity, lineage, governance, and reusability across the enterprise data ecosystem.
  • Design and implement secure, scalable, API-led and event-driven integration solutions that seamlessly connect AI services, data platforms, and enterprise applications through reusable connectivity patterns and modern integration architectures.
  • Establish and operate enterprise-grade LLMOps and MLOps capabilities, including CI/CD, model lifecycle management, observability, monitoring, governance, compliance, and responsible AI practices to ensure reliable and scalable AI solutions in production.
  • Partner with business collaborators to translate strategic requirements into scalable technology solutions, effectively communicate sophisticated technical concepts, and drive measurable business outcomes through innovation, strong problem-solving, and commercial competence.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in enterprise technology delivery, with minimum 3 years as a technical lead
  • Tried experience leading enterprise-scale Data Engineering and AI solution implementations
  • Strong experience working within Agile and product-based delivery environments.

Core Technical Skills

  • Hands-on experience designing and deploying Machine Learning and Generative AI solutions using LLMs, RAG, vector databases (e.g., Azure AI Search, LlamaCloud, Databricks Vector Search), agentic AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, AutoGen), and cloud AI platforms (Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock)
  • Expertise in prompt engineering, fine-tuning, model optimization, evaluation frameworks, and implementation of Responsible AI, guardrails, and governance controls Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Spark, Kafka, and related technologies Data governance, lineage, cataloging, and quality management.
  • Strong skills in Python, SQL, API development and enterprise integrations.CI/CD for ML and AI solutions, AI platform operations and production support.
  • Experience in data visualization, Q&A chatbots, and business insight generation.
  • Strong technical leadership and mentoring capabilities, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work optimally across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to resolve sophisticated business and technical challenges with commercial awareness and a business-focused attitude.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience within Shipping, Maritime, or Logistics domains.Knowledge of vessel, voyage, customer due diligence (CDD), compliance, or maritime operational data.
