Job description

Join Clario, a part of Thermo Fisher Scientific and help build the technology that powers patient-focused clinical trials around the world. As a Software Developer within our Digital Patient business, you will contribute to the design, development, validation, and support of software solutions that enable the collection and management of critical clinical research data. Working within a regulated environment, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative products, enhance system capabilities, and maintain the high standards of quality, reliability, and compliance required for clinical trial technology.

What You'll Be Doing


  • Design, develop, maintain, and support software applications for Digital Patient products and services.
  • Participate in software architecture, technical design, and development planning activities throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Contribute to product configuration, implementation, and maintenance activities, including the creation of validation documentation.
  • Develop requirements specifications, technical designs, software components, and test environments in accordance with project timelines and quality standards.
  • Support software validation activities and ensure products remain in a validated state throughout change control processes.
  • Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve application, system, and technical support incidents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to develop innovative solutions that enhance product value and improve customer outcomes.
  • Provide feedback on project timelines, technical risks, dependencies, and delivery plans.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing activities, quality assurance efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to enhancements in software development processes, tools, and operational practices.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), software development methodologies, and industry best practices.
  • Support regulatory compliance requirements, including those associated with healthcare and regulated software development environments.
  • Continuously develop technical skills and participate in training activities to support personal and professional growth.

What We Look For


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial software development environment.
  • Strong experience developing applications within the Microsoft .NET ecosystem.
  • Hands-on programming experience using C# and object-oriented development principles.
  • Experience working with SQL and relational database technologies.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies, software design principles, and testing practices.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and supporting business-critical software applications.
  • Exposure to software validation, regulated environments, or quality-controlled development processes is advantageous.
  • Mobile application development experience is desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Self-motivated approach with a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Professional fluency in English.
