Hi, we’re AMBOSS and we’re searching for a Legal Counsel to support our business in IT & Data Protection matters!

You will:

  • You advise our teams on data protection questions and their implementation.

  • You analyze and assess data protection compliance risks at system and process level and develop them further based on recognized standards.

  • You analyze relevant data protection requirements from the international context and integrate them into the existing setup.

  • You support product development in close collaboration with tech and product teams.

  • You review and assess data protection agreements as well as tools and software for data protection compliance.

  • You create and continuously update internal data protection policies and procedures (in particular the record of processing activities).

  • You handle and coordinate data subject rights requests (e.g. access, rectification and erasure requests) and ensure compliance with data subject rights in collaboration with other departments.

  • You work closely with our DPO and General Counsel as well as the entire Legal team.

You bring:

  • You are a fully qualified lawyer (Volljurist:in) in Germany

  • You have at least 4 years of relevant professional experience at a reputable law firm or as an in-house counsel in the field of IT and data protection.

  • You are keen to work in an international context and to grow together with AMBOSS.

  • You communicate complex legal requirements clearly and understandably and enjoy drafting legal documents.

  • You are fluent in German and English, both spoken and written, and have no difficulty communicating with internal and external stakeholders.

  • You are tech-savvy and enjoy working through technical contexts.

  • You enjoy working with people from different departments while always remaining solution-oriented and structured.

  • Experience at a consumer-facing tech company is a plus.
