Software Engineer


Job Description Summary


Broadridge is seeking a Software Engineer to drive the development, implementation, and enhancement of customized proprietary software solutions. This role combines hands-on software development with team coordination, technical leadership, and continuous improvement to ensure high-quality software delivery and alignment with business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of software developers, maintaining team productivity, work quality, and overall output.
  • Organize project-specific processes, including project launches, demonstrations, and post-project reviews.
  • Coordinate team communications, including project status updates, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing.
  • Communicate project and department updates, priorities, and relevant information to the team.
  • Report team progress, status, and potential issues to the Project Manager.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve team performance, development processes, and delivery quality.
  • Identify barriers to team performance, resolve issues when possible, and escalate as needed.
  • Balance workload across the team based on priorities, capacity, and project requirements.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a software development team to maintain and enhance existing computer programs.
  • Make required software modifications, identify and communicate issues, and recommend solutions.
  • Prepare reports, manuals, and other documentation related to software status, operation, and maintenance.
  • Maintain team visibility, including keeping the team’s web page current.
  • Apply expert knowledge of current technologies to develop innovative, effective software designs that meet business needs.
  • Play a hands-on role in the successful implementation and enhancement of high-quality system components.
  • Ensure the integrity and quality of component designs throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle.

Compensation and Benefits


Salary Range: $130,000–$145,000 USD annually
