Job description

Position Summary

This role partners closely with the Chief Human Resources Officer to strengthen associate understanding, engagement, and connection to the Ascensus people priorities and culture. The role serves as a trusted advisor and consistent voice for the CHRO, translating priorities and perspective into clear, authentic communications for senior leaders and associates.

The role provides strategic oversight of HR communications to ensure messages across the function are clear, consistent, and aligned with the CHRO's direction and Ascensus' broader business priorities. The role also leads the company's associate survey and helps translate associate feedback into meaningful insights and actions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

CHRO Voice and Leadership Messaging

  • Serve as a trusted partner to the CHRO, helping articulate priorities and perspective consistently across senior leadership and associate audiences as well as public thought leadership opportunities, including social media.
  • Develop and shape CHRO communications, including leadership messages, presentations, talking points, and other high-priority materials.
  • Translate complex business and people issues into clear, credible, and engaging narratives.

HR Communications

  • Review key HR communications before distribution to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with the CHRO's priorities and voice.
  • Help HR leaders strengthen messaging on important people initiatives and sensitive organizational issues.
  • Partner with other functions as appropriate to ensure alignment with enterprise messaging and established channels.

Associate Engagement and Listening

  • Lead associate survey process, including strategy, implementation, analysis, and follow up.
  • Translate associate feedback and survey findings into actionable insights for the HRLT.
  • Help shape engagement approaches that strengthen associate understanding, trust, and connection to Ascensus' culture and priorities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Exceptional executive writing, editing, and storytelling capabilities.
  • Deep experience in organizational culture, associate engagement, and associate listening.
  • Strong judgment and discretion in handling sensitive organizational matters.
  • Ability to influence and work effectively across a complex, matrixed organization.
