Job description

We are a dedicated Squad on a mission to redefine Swiss watchmaking, rooted in our legacy since 1884. Driven by innovation and precision we create timepieces that combine modern-retro design with casual, approachable, and sustainable luxury — powered by passionate teams around the world.

For our South Korean market, we are looking for an experienced Finance Director to lead and oversee the local finance and accounting function. This is a hands-on leadership role combining accounting, controlling, financial reporting and business partnering, with responsibility for ensuring accurate financial management, strong internal controls and compliance across the organisation.

You will work closely with local management, our boutiques and HQ in Switzerland, ensuring that financial and accounting processes run smoothly and that the business has the right financial insights to support decision-making.

Your contribution:

  • You will lead and oversee the local finance and accounting function, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant financial management.
  • You will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and cash/bank accounting.
  • You will ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting entries, reconciliations, accruals, provisions and prepayments.
  • You will take ownership of the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring deadlines and Group requirements are met.
  • You will review the P&L and balance sheet, identify discrepancies and ensure appropriate follow-up and resolution.
  • You will oversee payment processes and payment runs, ensuring appropriate controls and management approvals are in place.
  • You will ensure accurate and timely month-end financial reporting, including reporting to Tagetik / Group Reporting, working closely with HQ.
  • You will ensure compliance with local accounting, tax and statutory requirements, coordinating with external auditors and local advisors where required.
  • You will maintain and strengthen internal financial controls and accounting processes, ensuring alignment with local requirements and Group policies.
  • You will oversee sales and cash reconciliations, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved in a timely manner.
  • You will oversee inventory reconciliations and the financial management of retail stock.
  • You will manage finance processes related to boutique operations and retail activities, including boutique internalisation processes.
  • You will act as a trusted finance partner to local management and retail leadership, providing financial insights and supporting business decisions.
  • You will identify opportunities to improve finance and accounting processes, increase efficiency and strengthen financial controls.
  • You will work closely with HQ Finance and other global stakeholders, ensuring alignment between local and Group requirements.
  • You will support and develop the local finance organisation, fostering a culture of ownership, accuracy and continuous improvement.

You will fit well to our Squad if:

  • You have solid experience in a senior Finance, Accounting or Controlling role, ideally within an international, luxury, retail or consumer-facing environment.
  • You have strong technical accounting knowledge and a solid understanding of local accounting principles and statutory requirements in South Korea.
  • You have hands-on experience overseeing general ledger accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and cash/bank accounting.
  • You have a strong understanding of accruals, provisions, prepayments, journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • You have a proven track record in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • You have experience preparing or reviewing statutory financial statements, tax-related accounting and audit requirements.
  • You are confident reviewing the P&L and balance sheet, investigating discrepancies and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • You have experience with retail finance processes, including sales and cash reconciliation, inventory reconciliation and boutique operations.
  • You have solid experience with payment processes and payment runs, including payments requiring management approval.
  • You have strong knowledge of Douzone ERP and experience working with SAP.
  • Experience with Tagetik or another Group Reporting / consolidation tool would be an advantage.
  • You have experience establishing and maintaining strong accounting controls and processes.
  • You are comfortable working closely with external auditors, local advisors and HQ Finance teams.
  • You are a strong analytical and problem-solving professional with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • You are able to combine hands-on operational involvement with senior-level financial oversight and business partnering.
  • You communicate confidently in English and are comfortable working in an international environment.
  • You are comfortable working on-site and being closely connected to the local business and retail teams.
