Job description

We have an opportunity for a Cyber Security Architect/Engineer II to join us at Honeywell, in Brno. This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model. 

The Network Security Engineer (Cyber Sec Archt/Engr II) will focus on handling the daily operations of all services relating to perimeter security, and all interdependent servers and infrastructure within all global data centers and cloud subscriptions (firewall and proxy services). This position will function as a technical resource to assist in proactive problem identification and solution proposal and will also handle service requests from customers.

Key responsibilities

  • Operations & Monitoring: Monitor and assist in maintaining data center and cloud firewalls, proxies, and zero-trust access tools (such as Zscaler ZIA/ZPA).
  • Rule Administration: Review, process, and implement standard firewall rule changes and service requests.
  • Troubleshooting: Assist in investigating and resolving basic network access, connectivity, and incident tickets.
  • Maintenance & Deployment: Help install, configure, and update network security software and hardware components.
  • Documentation: Keep team runbooks, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures up to date.

Key skills and qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (degree or coursework in IT/Computer Science is a plus).
  • 2–3 years of experience in an IT support, helpdesk, or junior network operations role.
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking, subnets, routing, and common protocols (DNS, DHCP).
  • Exposure to or hands-on experience with firewalls, proxy services, or Zscaler/Zero-Trust platforms.
  • Good communication skills and an eagerness to learn perimeter security technologies.
