Operational Excellence Specialist - Remote

Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000


About the Role & the Team

The Operational Excellence Specialist is a candidate with 3-5 years of relevant experience in operations, project management, healthcare administration, or process improvement.


You will work directly with teams across the organization to help streamline workflows, leverage technology, and improve the quality of care we provide. The role offers hands-on exposure to project management, process improvement, operational design, change management, and cross-functional collaboration.


We’re seeking someone who is strategically minded, analytical, and eager to learn— You should enjoy understanding how work gets done, identifying opportunities for impact, and partnering with others to build sustainable solutions.


You’ll join a small, high-impact team focused on efficiency, scalability, and continuous improvement across the organization. This is a great opportunity to grow quickly, develop a strong foundation in operations, and contribute to meaningful improvements at a fast-growing healthcare company.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support process improvement initiatives across multiple departments by helping gather requirements, map workflows, document processes, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with project planning and coordination, including timelines, stakeholder management, meeting notes, and tracking action items.
  • Participate in root cause analysis, gap assessments, and solution brainstorming sessions.
  • Help maintain a centralized repository of process documentation, SOPs, and workflows.
  • Contribute to change management efforts by preparing communications, training materials, and documentation.
  • Track performance metrics and help monitor the impact of implemented improvements.
  • Build strong cross-functional working relationships and collaborate with teams to understand current-state challenges.
  • Support the team in promoting a culture of continuous improvement through curiosity, problem-solving, and structured thinking.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Operations, Public Health, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office (especially Slides/PowerPoint and Sheets/Excel)
  • Ability to learn quickly, manage multiple tasks, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with enthusiasm for operational excellence

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to healthcare or behavioral health environments
  • Familiarity with Lean or process improvement concepts (e.g., value stream mapping, root cause analysis)
  • Experience with data or BI tools (Excel, Sheets, Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, etc.)
  • Experience working on cross-functional projects
