Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking the position of API Engineer (multiple positions) in Minneapolis, MN.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and review scalable API tools to support business teams’ integration needs.
  • Perform code reviews and propose design changes to meet development standards and deliver operational improvements.
  • Make sound design and coding decisions to provide guidance on engineering best practices and ensure all aspects of product development follow compliance with development and security procedures.
  • Embed standards and validation logic within the API Lifecycle Navigator (ALN) tool to implement centralized APIs governance across the software enterprise.
  • Ensure automation of API deployment processes to improve efficiency and consistency across environments.
  • Design and review ALN to enable end-to-end API lifecycle management.
  • Translate business requirements into compliant API designs and configurations.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, plus 5 years in a Software Developer, or related, occupation.

Required Skills/Experience:
Must include 5 years of experience with each of the following:

1. Agile, Java, J2EE, and Junit 5;

2. API Development using RESTful APIs and GraphQL;

3. HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, and Bootstrap;

4. Java 17+ features including Lambdas, Streams, Records, and Virtual Threads;

5. Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, Spring Data, and Spring WebFlux;

6. Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, GitHub, and Maven; and

7. Jira, Confluence, and Mockito.

Teams may work from home and the office. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $122,425 - $155,000. (#LI-NDI #LI-DNI #LI-DNP #DE-DNP #INDdni #IND-DNP).
