Job description

Overview:

MicroTech seeks a System Administrator to operate and sustain military electronic health record (EHR) and supporting IT systems for the global MEDEX/MEDXS mission. This key position maintains system availability, secure configurations, and dependable support in OCONUS environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer operating systems, servers, accounts, permissions, and supporting services.
  • Perform approved patching, configuration changes, backups, and recovery activities.
  • Monitor system health, troubleshoot incidents, and coordinate service restoration.
  • Support military EHR environments and deployed IT infrastructure.
  • Maintain administration procedures, configuration records, and operational documentation.
  • Experience supporting military EHR and IT systems in an OCONUS environment.
  • CompTIA Security+ CE and a relevant operating system certification appropriate to the supported environment. The PWS cites MCSA and Red Hat as examples; credential acceptability will be validated against the final requirement.
  • Proven experience managing personnel deployments, navigating the Synchronized Pre-deployment and Operational Tracker (SPOT), and coordinating host-nation theater clearance and DOCPER requirements across multiple OCONUS areas of responsibility.
Qualifications:
  • Active Secret clearance and a valid U.S. passport with at least 18 months of validity remaining on the first day of contract performance
  • Assigned DCWF role: 451, System Administrator, Intermediate
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent
  • Microsoft System Administrator certification and Cloud+ or GICSP or GSEC or Sec+ or SSCP or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
  • Applicable DoDM 8140.03 foundational qualifications must be satisfied before independently performing duties requiring privileged access or covered cybersecurity functions

Mission Commitment

This is a Government-designated Key Personnel position requiring technical and OCONUS readiness on the first day of performance and continuity throughout the assignment.

Comp Band:  $81K - $115K
