  • Defining reference patterns and solution blueprints for LLM applications, RAG, classical ML, and AI-enabled services
  • Leading platform and tooling decisions for Azure AI, Databricks, and data orchestration
  • Creating reusable accelerators like a RAG starter kit, evaluation harness, and prompt library

Job Description

As the newest member of our AI Engineering team, you’ll set the direction for how AI gets built and governed across the organization. You’ll design the standards and guardrails that keep our solutions secure, HIPAA-compliant, and focused on real clinical value. With 10+ years in architecture and deep Azure AI experience, you see the big picture and trust our Lead AI Software Engineers to handle the details. Spend your days: 

  • Owning enterprise AI architecture and governance for our EHR platform, giving product teams a healthcare-grade foundation to build on 
  • Defining reference patterns and solution blueprints for LLM applications, RAG, classical ML, and AI-enabled services 
  • Leading platform and tooling decisions for Azure AI, Databricks, and data orchestration 
  • Creating reusable accelerators like a RAG starter kit, evaluation harness, and prompt library 
  • Embedding HIPAA-aligned PHI/PII safeguards into the SDLC and CI/CD gates 
  • Setting responsible AI release criteria, from bias and fairness evaluations to model cards and red-teaming 
  • Running the AI architecture review process and partnering with security and compliance on risk assessments and policy updates 
  • Advising engineering teams on prompt design, grounding strategies, and the modernization of legacy code 
  • Mentoring developers on Azure AI Foundry and the secure use of Microsoft Copilot and GitHub Copilot, and publishing architecture decision records 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in software or solution architecture, including 5+ years in AI/ML systems and 2+ years leading enterprise AI architecture or platform initiatives 
  • Hands-on experience with Azure AI Foundry and OpenAI or Anthropic models, from fine-tuning and deploying generative models to integrating AI into .NET applications 
  • Healthcare domain experience - claims processing or revenue cycle management or experience in a regulated environment 
  • Solid understanding of HIPAA, PHI/PII handling, and responsible AI practices 
  • Refined communication and documentation skills — you thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
