Primary purpose: 

Supports project management for a federal-government contract. Works with Program Director, other Project Managers, Task Leads, and the client to plan and manage work across the task. Drives scope, team, schedule, budget, and quality aspects to achieve project objectives and deliverables.

A successful candidate will do the following:

  • Plan, execute, and control the project with particular regard for the objectives, schedule, budget, quality, resources, communication, and risks
  • Direct the project team in planning and implementing the project to align with scope, goals, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Triage and respond to client or stakeholder inquiries promptly and professionally
  • Manage software-development projects according to industry best practices
  • Communicate effectively with clients, management, and staff
  • Act as a task-management and tracking expert
  • Juggle competing demands and prioritize work effectively
  • Schedule internal and external meetings; prepare agendas and materials
  • Compose and organize clear meeting minutes for internal calls, client/customer meetings, and conference calls that capture important discussions, decisions, and action items
Requirements
  • High-school diploma
  • Five or more years of experience in project management  
  • Experience with government contracts or programs
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
  • Experience supporting healthcare-facility onboarding, implementation, technical coordination, or other multi-stakeholder project activities 
  • Experience maintaining project schedules, trackers, risk/action-item logs, and status reporting 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills
  • Ability to work within a challenging environment across multiple, diverse teams
  • If required by the project, ability to successfully complete and obtain a federal Position of Public Trust Level 5 background investigation, meet all eligibility criteria, and maintain the required clearance throughout employment

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science degree 
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification 
  • Experience with public health, healthcare systems, and/or Health IT projects, including healthcare-related software projects 
  • Knowledge of SAFe Agile methodology 
  • Experience with Jira 
  • Knowledge of healthcare standards
  • Certification as a Scrum Master (e.g., CSM, PSM)

Salary Description $75,000 - $95,000
